Thirty lashes with a wet noodle upon my hide.  My apologies for my absence.  You see, I have a good excuse.  I’m pregnant and have spent the last 4 months wishing death upon myself while bent over the toilet heaving my guts.  It is true what they say, what goes in must come out, although not in the terms I thought.  I will spare you any disgusting stories of foods that I would rather not put past my lips again.  On a positive note, bananas taste the same going in and coming out.

I am currently 20 weeks (the end of my 5th month for those who cannot do the math, you’re welcome).  I am finally out of the nauseous woods and the sun has come out again.  Those first 4 months were hell.

Today was a very big day for us.  We got to find out what flavor we are having.  I know this can be a very controversial thing for some people.  My mom used to always tell me, if God wanted you to know what you were having he would have put a window there for you to see.  I on the other hand feel that it is just as exciting no matter when you find out.  I also want to be as prepared as possible and not end up with a load of yellow stuff that only makes your baby look jaundice.

Let me introduce you to the one who has been using my bladder as a punching bag, our baby boy, Liam Christopher.

We are on cloud nine.  Although we would have been happy with either a boy or a girl, it was our desire to have the boy be the oldest.
