A week ago my friend took me out for sushi. I had never had sushi before, and to be quite honest I was a little on the nervous side. I’m not big on the idea of raw food, but she assured me that there would be cooked rolls as well. So I rolled up my sleeves and jumped feet first. Worse case scenario, I could always grab a hamburger on the way home.

The place was cool. In the center of the restaurant were stations where they made all the sushi. That was surrounded by a wall with a train on top for the food to go around on and then there were tables all around the wall.

The plates are all color coded and each color has it’s own price. You just pick the plates you want and when you are ready for the check they just add up your colors and give you your bill.

Hmmmm….what to eat. I started out simple. Noodles. Can’t go wrong with noodles.

Now I have never used chopsticks before either. I guess my fingers just aren’t that coordinated when my stomach is growling and all I want is for the food to get in my belly, but my friends made me use them. They wouldn’t not let me ask for my security fork. I deserve a pat on the back for good effort.

Next I tried the smoked salmon, avocado, and cream cheese roll. Not too bad. A little on the smokey side, but not too bad. I also tried one of my friend’s shrimp, avocado, and cucumber roll. That was good. Throw in a pot sticker, not so good, and another plate of noodles and I was full. Check please!

All in all it was a fun expirience that I will most likely try again, but maybe with a long break in between.

thank you kaydee! it’s nice to know you’re still alive. reading this blog has made me VERY hungry & it also makes me want to try sushi!

My sister in Law loves that place. Mike is a sushi eater but not me. But since they have other stuff we just might have to give it a try!
