How many of you married women out in internet land have a hardly worn white (or ivory) wedding dress hanging in your closet collecting dust?
How many of you were good little brides and got it dry cleaned and preserved like your supposed to?
Lately I have been thinking about selling my wedding dress. I know. I could hear the gasps as I typed that out. I LOVE my wedding dress, but what is the point in keeping it? It’s just hanging in the back of my closet collecting dust (in great need of dry cleaning because I was not one of those good little brides). I know it is sentimental and there is a very slim, and I mean SLIM chance that my daughter would ever want to wear it at her wedding, but really is that worth it? I do have a secret desire to someday fit in it again and wear it around the house when nobody is home because I just love it, but I have to be honest with myself…THAT WILL PROBABLY NEVER HAPPEN. I’m thinking that if I got it dry cleaned, I could probably get some serious dough out of it before it goes too much out of style. What do you think?

i was not a good little bride either…and my poor dress is crammed(to the fullest extent of the word) in a bin and probably at the very back of my storage unit…at least i think it is…hummm…
but i have offten wondered the same thing as you. whould it be so awful to just sell the thing. but then you know if you do have a girl someday and you did keep the dress she would think it was so ugly…but if you got rid of it she would be soooo bummed because it was the most perfect dress and she would want it for her very own…
so i’m sorry i cant help you. i have the same problems as you.
good luck
I have been thinking the same things about my dress. I did not get it cleaned either. It is still at my parents house! I have no place to keep it and I know that by time time I have a daughter it is going to be way out of style. I secretly want to walk around the house in mine too
. If you really want to sell it look on craig’s list for ones that are simaluar and see what they are going for.
I’d sell mine….but it has grass stains on the bottom of it. Did you just read my last post where I mentioned that Declan said it was creepy for a girl to wear a wedding dress any other day but her wedding day? Ha….too funny. I would love to sell mine, no big deal AT all to me. Mine is literally in my basement in it’s bag, but no dry cleaning at all done to it. I’m baddddd.
I say sell it before it goes out of style. I was a bad bride ~ although dress is still in pretty good shape, but not my daughter’s style at all. What was cool 31 years ago, not at all the fashion now. (Evidently it was then, my college roommate and I had an almost identical dress ~ hers v-neck, mine square-neck, and we didn’t shop together, lol.) No, wait, maybe we were both “cheap”?
Hmmm.
