KFC…It’s What’s For Dinner
February 5, 2008 by Kaydee
Today is Jonathan’s birthday!!
While growing up, it was tradition for the birthday person to pick what was for dinner or to go out for dinner wherever they wanted to go. Trying to continue the birthday tradition, I asked Jonathan what he would like for dinner. I was thinking that he would pick something a little more fancy where he could get a nice piece of beef to smother with Ketchup. (Note: Ketchup is usually an addition to most meals.) Imagine my shock when he said, “I want to go to KFC and have a BIG bucket of original chicken, beasts and legs, and a BIG container of mashed potatoes drenched in gravy!” (Gulp!
) Not my kind of dinner. (Double Gulp!)
So tonight I will sacrifice a little and dine on lab grown chicken and fake mashed potatoes for the man I love in celebration of his birth.
For dessert we will continue the consumption of all things fake by feasting on this boxed Betty Crocker cake I made.

Don’t ask me what that green blob of icing in the corner is supposed to be because it certainly does not look like the balloons I had pictured in my head.
UPDATED TO SAY: I have just been informed that he has changed his mind and wants to go to The Keg. He does want a big piece of beef to smother in Ketchup after all. (Exhaling a sigh of relief) I don’t have to eat lab grown chicken and fake mashed potatoes!

Happy Birthday Jonathan! : )
Happy (belated) Birthday Jonathan!! I hope your meat was delicious… well, as delicious as it could be smothered in ketchup. That cake looks so good
The balloons are awesome because they are green! Miss you guys!
