Bald Is Beautiful
January 3, 2008 by Kaydee
Just before Christmas my sister-in-law called and asked if I would like to go on a picture taking adventure with her. I told her that I would have to get back to her on that, but it sounded like fun. Jonathan had asked that I take the same day off to do something with him. Sadly I had to disappoint my sister-in-law as Jonathan had something up his sleeve.
Christmas day my family and I sat around the tree at my parents house to exchange gifts. My sister-in-law drew my name. As I sat on the floor opening the box she gave me, I was a little confused. Inside was a knit hat and gloves. I know, nothing confusing about that. But there was also a card with a certificate for a bald eagle boat trip down the Skagit River for the same day that Jonathan had asked me to take off because of his plans. My sister-in-law looked at me and said, “I’m sorry, but you won’t be spending Friday with Jonathan. You and I are going on a bald eagle tour to take pictures.” Those two were pretty sneaky.
We had a great time. It was definitely cold and wet out. I think in snowed for the first hour and then rained the rest of the time. We did have little propane heaters at our feet to help keep us warm, but I keep worrying that I was going to catch on fire.

The pictures are beautiful Kaydee. I especially like the one of the mossy branches. The eagle picture I like the best is the one where its perched with branches all around in the background. You have a great talent and eye. Keep working at it.
Kaydee,
How come I can see the photos on your Mom’s site (a little gross) but not on yours?
Be-a-utiful pics - you’re wicked good at that photography thing! Happy new year by the way — when are you coming to Canada to visit me? : )>
