Bigger Is Better…When It Comes To Christmas Trees Of Course
December 10, 2007 by Kaydee
Our first apartment was pretty spacious. We had lots of room for a big Christmas tree, and a big Christmas tree was what we got. It was big enough that it touched the ceiling.
Our second apartment on the other hand was not so spacious. At Christmas time Jonathan looked at me and said, “I don’t think the Christmas tree is going to fit.” Of course I said, “Sure it will.” I was going to show him. We pulled out the tree and I proceeded to prove him wrong. We moved the furniture so that I could put it up in a corner of the living room. I setup the tree stand and started putting the pieces together. I got as far as the fist level of the bottom branches and looked at Jonathan and said, “I think that the tree is going to be to big.” I wondered what we were going to do. We got this tree for a good price and it is a very nice fake tree. It is a lush full tree. Not like most of the fake trees that are out there that really look fake and twig like. After sitting and staring at the corner for a while, I decided to just put up the top part of the tree. So that year we had half of a Christmas tree with have the decorations. The poor thing was pitiful. It was like the Leaning Tower of Pisa because the tree stand was not meant to hold just the top part. You do what you have to do right?
I am thrilled that the house we bought has a spacious living room (partially due to the fact that we have hardly any furniture in it) with a bay window and that the whole tree fits in the window.
