Operation Creative Auntie - Day 1
October 30, 2007 by Kaydee
I feel a little out of practice when it comes to relating to kids. It’s been quite a while since my babysitting days and I don’t have kids of my own, so cobwebs have accumulated in my creative closet. I agreed to watch my niece and nephews today and tomorrow as they are out early from school for teacher conferences. They are definitely old enough to take care of themselves and don’t necessarily need a watchful eye 24/7. But seeing as I wasn’t working and wanted to interact with them instead of letting the boys zone out in front of the X-Box and my niece in front of the computer, I had to air out the creative closet so I could generate some ideas. The easiest and cheapest thing to do is go for a walk on the trail. So we piled in the car and off we went. Of course I brought the camera with me to try and get some Fall glamour shots of them, but they just weren’t cooperating.

If only I could get her to turn around and show me her beautiful smile.

Boys will be boys.
Even though the sun was out, it was a little on the chilly side, so we did not last long. We headed home and I gave in to vegging in front of a movie for a while. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day to be creative.
