I don’t know why, but the last couple of days some of the small, yet funny, ways Jonathan and I are different have been standing out to me. I knew before we were married that we were different, but it really wasn’t until after we were married that I realized some of those quirky ones.

Jonathan and I have different opinions on the theory of making the bed. It really doesn’t bother me if the bed is not made. I am just going to climb back into it at night and mess it up again. Plus, this way, I air out all the bed bugs. Jonathan, on the other hand, was in the military and has a thing about having the bed made. Now, like a good wife, on occasion I will humor him and make the bed, but 99.9% of the time our bed looks like this. As soon as Jonathan’s alarm goes off, he is up and making his side of the bed (while I am still in it sleeping). When my alarm goes off, I throw back the covers and let the airing out begin.

Another way we are different is with our clocks. I really don’t think that there is any other way to tell time, but the standard way. Jonathan likes to frustrate my little homeschool mind, so he has all his clocks set to military time. I don’t know why, but for the life of me, I cannot tell military time. I know how it works, but when I want to know what time it is, I don’t think that my brain should have to do the math to figure it out.
How about you? What are some of your funny quirks?
